Summer School 2026 and Office Hours

We are so proud of the Mission Parents who got recognized at the District's "Excellence in Family Engagement Award Ceremony" on April 22nd for their continued partnership and continued education/classes at the Parent Education Center (PEC).
To celebrate Earth Day and spread Global Awareness, students enjoyed the "EcoHero Show". Students got to sing, dance, and build their awareness of how they can help make our world a cleaner, better place!

Mission is extremely proud to recognize our Certificated & Classified Employees of the Year for 2026!
Certificated Employee of the Year: Mrs. Laura Foley Mrs. Foley has been teaching for 13 years at Misson Elementary. Although she currently teaches 1st grade, Mrs. Foley has also previously taught 5th and 6th grades. Mrs. Foley was nominated and selected as Mission's Certificated Employee of the Year by her peers because of her incredible passion and devotion to supporting and teaching each of her students. Mrs. Foley's kindness, patience and care for her students is evident. She makes learning fun and engaging for her students, and is dedicated to having every student reach his/her potential!
Classified Employee of the Year: Mrs. Valerie Correa Mrs. Correa is a new staff member to Mission Elementary this year. She has been an amazing addition to the Mission Outreach Team in Office 1. Mrs. Correa was nominated by her colleagues for this award because of her incredible kindess and positivity, and how she actively looks for ways to support our students, families and staff members. Whether greeting kiddos during Sunshine Club, helping students resolve conflicts with restorative circles or helping parents find important resources, Mrs. Correa positively impacts Mission every day!
We are proud to announce that Mission students were well represented at this year's OMSD STEAM Symposium, held on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This year's theme was "Bloom Where You Are Planted". The Steam symposium encourages students to think critically, use their creativity, collaborate and express themselves in a variety of forms.
